Restarting this blog thing. Thanks to my good friend Gabriel for hooking up the backend again. I don’t know where I’d be without him. 

Here we have a new new piece of art, done for, you guessed it, the Misfits via Bravado. The goal on this and 3 other pieces was to dig through old Misfits lyrics and see what inspired. And basically what I gathered wast that ol’ Glenn Danzig was a fan of the Ed Wood films, or at the very least had the hots for Vampira.

Anywho, this piece obviously gives a huge nod to Plan 9 From Outer Space, as well as Silver Age comic art, as well as the guidance of Ted Jalbert (see about/links) in the duo tone split face shading technique.
